Biomolecular Horizons 2024 is an international congress that will bring thousands of scientists from across the globe to Melbourne to discuss advances in our understanding of nature’s molecular structures and processes, and how these are driving innovations in medicine, nutrition, agriculture, physiology, genetics, and immunology.
Up to 100 Victorian school students will be invited to join a behind-the-scenes tour of the Congress. Divided into groups of 10 students each, research scientists will guide you through the exhibition hall. You will interact with international exhibitors to learn about the latest technology that is revolutionising biomolecular science. You will also have the chance to meet young scientists at the Congress poster presentations and hear about their ground-breaking research.
This event is for students of Years 9-12. Their parents, guardians, and teachers are also encouraged to attend.
After the behind-the-scenes congress tour, you can also attend the congress public lecture.
Please note that you must register separately for the public lecture.
