Critically evaluating scientific research – Online course

In this course students are guided through an evaluation of a scientific study that is being used to market a product. They are introduced to the key elements that contribute to the validity and reliability of a study. They then apply their critical evaluation skills to an additional scientific study and judge whether the claims being made about the product are substantiated by the studies.
