  1. Promoter

The Convergence Science Network is the sole promoter of the “Graeme Clark Award for STEMM Innovation in Schools” Competition.

 

  1. Entrants

Entrants must be staff employed at a Victorian school. Immediate family members of GTAC employees cannot enter.  By entering the “Graeme Clark Award for STEMM Innovation in Schools”, the entrant warrants he or she meets the entry requirements and accepts the competition terms and conditions.

 

  1. Time frame

Entries must be submitted by 5pm AEST Monday 20th June.

 

  1. Entries

Entries are limited to one per school. Entrants are required enter the “Graeme Clark Award for STEMM Innovation in Schools” competition on the GTAC website. Entrants must submit their entries by uploading content to Google Drive and sharing this content with GTAC. Images of individuals included in submissions must be accompanied by a media release form for each individual.  Winners will be selected by a judging panel comprising Convegence Science Network staff and decided on the award criteria as outlined on this webpage.  The Convergence Science Network reserves the right to edit text or omit images and video supplied by entrants for publication.  Entry in the “Graeme Clark Award for STEMM Innovation in Schools” Competition does not obligate The Convergence Science Network to publish the entry.

 

  1. Costs and expenses

Entrants are responsible for any and all expenses that they incur for preparing a submission or entering the competition and they will not be reimbursed regardless of whether or not they win the competition.

 

  1. Intellectual property

By entering the “Graeme Clark Award for STEMM Innovation in Schools” Competition, the entrant warrants that their entry is an original composition and that they possess all necessary rights to provide the intellectual property to The Convergence Science Network. By entering the “Graeme Clark Award for STEMM Innovation in Schools” Competition, the entrant grants an express license of the intellectual property to The Convergence Science Network and consents to any act or omission which would otherwise constitute an infringement of their intellectual property.

 

  1. Disqualification

The Convergence Science Network reserves the right to disqualify any entrant where the judging panel reasonably suspects any unlawful or improper conduct, such as but not limited to plagiarism, infringing a third party’s intellectual property rights, or if there has otherwise been a breach of the competition terms and conditions.

 

  1. Privacy

Personal information of entrants will be treated as confidential information and managed in compliance with legislation under Victorian privacy laws and the Information Privacy Act 2000.

 

  1. Publication

Schools shortlisted for the award will have the opportunity to display their project at the Oration’s Biomedical Innovation Showcase, held prior to the Oration.

 

  1. Notification

The winning school will be required to be represented at the Oration by a teacher and two students to collect the award. They will be notified ahead of time of their required attendance.
