A full day Professional Learning program designed to assist teachers with delivery of the Unit 2 VCAA Biology curriculum

Navigating Unit 2 AOS2 and preparing students for AOS3
This program will unpack Unit 2 of the revised VCAA Biology Study Design for 2016. We will provide a suggested timeline for covering the key knowledge and skills for Area of Study 1, 2 and 3. Rich narratives, learning activities and practical tasks designed to engage students in the subject matter and to equip them with the key skills required to complete AOS 3, investigation of an issue, will be provided. Study aids that help students explicitly apply skills relevant to AOS3, as they progress through AOS 1 & 2, will be suggested. Possible assessment tasks will be explored and teaching resources to support the introduction of these tasks in your classroom will be provided along with details for the purchase of consumables.
